Nothing is more the child of art
than a garden.
~Sir Walter Scott
My dessert ... chocolate, white chocolate and coffee mousse with raspberry sauce! Gorgeous and so yummy!!
Nobody sees a flower -- really -- it is so small
it takes time -- we haven't time --
and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.
~ Georgia O'Keeffe
After brunch we headed back to my parents' place and this little guy was waiting for us in the garage! It was quite a surprise! He wriggled between my Mom and I, at which time I screamed and scared her. My dad shooed him out of the garage with a cardboard box top and out on to the lawn, at which point I, of course, grabbed my camera. :)
Cute, huh?
After that, camera out and ready, I started taking pics of my Mom's roses.
Looking for and enjoying beauty is a way to nourish the soul.
The universe is in the habit of making beauty.
There are flowers and songs,
snowflakes and smiles,
acts of great courage,
laughter between friends,
a job well done,
the smell of fresh-baked bread.
Beauty is everywhere.
~Matthew Fox
Blessings and light!
Y'all take care now!

Such lovely images. I love the entrance to the restaurant, the rose under the Sir Walter Scott quotation, the anthuriums, even little stripey snakes (so long as they aren't mean!), and I especially love the look of your dessert!
oh the rosy goodness here! and that dessert! nummerlicious!

You had me sighing - until I saw that snake. I am not a big fan of snakes. Let me re-phrase that. I do not like snakes at all.
Lucinda, the flowers are gorgeous and your dessert looks perfect! I agree that the snake is cute:)
beautiful blossoms indeed! even the snake is pretty :)
Beautiful garden ...
but I hate snakes, they scare me
The town that I photographed is, of course, in Italy (Tuscany)
I wish you a peaceful weekend

Even the snake makes me think it's Paradise ;)
Voluptous and velvety pictures and post!
I feel that your "magic phone flowers" in the post below came to life in these gardens:)) There is a magic to them, and in your pink font, and the sense that seeing and believing in a beautiful world makes a beautiful world come true.
Oh, and that heart shaped chocolate ice cream dessert plate, yum!
:)
P.S. just read Otli's comment above. I like the way he says it:))

Oh if only we had 'smell-o-rama' on our computer! Maybe a little 'taste-a-rama' as well! I think I could strap one of those garden roses to my nose and walk around with it there for a week....
