Amalfi ... "When fate hands you lemons ..."

The Amalfi Coast

When life gave them lemons ...

They made ceramic tiles

plates

dishtowels

fabric handbags

soap

and of course, my personal favorite ...

LIMONCELLO!

which I had at almost every meal!

I was feeling the need for a dose of Italy today and with some crazy weather back East and around the globe I figured everybody might need a little sunshine. These were taken on my trip last May. Of course, it would be lovely to hop on a plane and be back there but until then, I might just pull my little bottle of limoncello out of the freezer, close my eyes and ... pretend for a moment that I am back on the Amalfi Coast.

Ahhh.

"When fate hands you a lemon,
make lemonade."

~Dale Carnegie
American lecturer, author, 1888-1955

(or if fate hand you several ... make limoncello!)

Have a fantastic weekend!

The Amalfi coast is on my mind right now. Am toying with the idea of going there for a mini-vacation in May.

I love all, an attractive lemon yellow, but my favorite is the first, with a great texture and beautiful tones.

Ah, I wish I was visiting Italy now. It's so nice to stop by and receive a dose of Italian culture here. I love everything in this post!
When I visited Italy I bought quite a few of those lemon design plates and Limoncello.
Great photos and lovely to see you enjoying a nice cool lemon drink.
By the way, I like your new hair colour. Brunette really suits you!
Have a great week. :-)

P.S. Sorry for the mistakes. Third time lucky to leave you a comment!

I have a favored lemon drink recipe that I would be happy to share with you.... drop me a note with your email if you would like to see and try it.
