Summer Camp at the Wizard of Art

Creativity is
inventing,
experimenting,
growing,
taking risks,
breaking rules,
making mistakes,
and
having fun.

~Mary Lou Cook

Monday will begin week 7 of teaching art camp at The Wizard of Art this summer. As usual, it's been a bit of a wild ride. Some weeks are pretty calm and others have had a bit of a circus vibe. My favorite thing about it by far, is seeing the pride that the kids have in there work - especially when they exceed their their own expectations and surprise themselves.

Don't let anyone rob you of your imagination,
your creativity, or your curiosity.
It is your place in the world;
it's your life.
Go on and do all you can with it,
and make it the life you want to live.

Good evening dear fellow thespian and artist!

Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment; it is so wonderful to see these kids CREATING. I saw a quote once that said, "Perhaps CREATIVITY is INTELLIGENCE having fun." But of course!!!! As a teacher, nothing makes me more excited as to see my students get creative in all subjects, even with math.....EINSTEIN, my favorite was a child with a genius brain who never lost the wonder of creativity in pushing the envelope of his inquiries and the science of his observations!

KEEP CREATING DEAREST!!! Anita

The talent of these kids is truly magical...their faces show it as does their work! I'm always filled with joy when I see what comes from the innocent and pure.
It's almost as magical as our syncronicity! So funny!!! Here's to nieces!

These kids are really talented. They have created magical works and all of the paintings are very imaginative.
Kids are not a bit inhibited and are naturally creative. It sounds like art camp is excellent fun! ;-)
