Gratitude and a Bird of paradise

Upon awakening, let the words Thank You
flow from your lips,
for this will remind you to begin your day
with gratitude and compassion.

Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation
in awe of everything you see around you.
Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you.
This five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation
and gratitude will help you focus your life in awe.

A little meditation on G R A T I T U D E with Deepak Chopra

Blessings and light for a beautiful week!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

However, Deepak Chopra said "you can not have gratitude and ego at the same time". I'm not sure I agree.

Weren't my "thank yous" the best ever?

Did my ego just KO my gratitude? :)

Probably so. Thanks, anyway.

Oh, I've long taken a 5-minute meditation first thing in the morning so that I can ease into my day...so many lovely things to wake up to.

Deepak Chopra is an author whose books I read and keep...he's especially smart about how to treat our bodies.
