I got on the bus at Port Authority, to make my way to Massachusetts. I was off to see one of my dearest friends, Dawn, who I hadn't seen since before she'd had her little girl, 2 1/2 years ago!
Dawn and I met in acting class in West Hollywood in 1993 and immediately became the best of friends. I remember sitting in my Honda for hours, after class, and being so excited to meet another Sagittarian girl! We could not stop talking!
A little Miles Davis/Cannonball Adderley "Autumn Leaves" for the road …
I always forget how great the bus is. I mean, excluding the restroom situation, it's so great looking out the window and seeing the country, and the little towns, and wondering about the people who live in them.
The farther north we drove, the more spectacular the colors!
I took a shot of the bus on our pit stop, at a Burger King, in some little town. Grey Hound bought out the Peter Pan bus, and the China Town busses … so really it's just all Grey Hound now, but I liked the look of this red bus!
It's about 30 bucks cheaper if you buy your tickets ahead, unfortunately the website wasn't working the night before, so I had to buy my ticket there, at the station.
With Dawn, in Boston! Finally!

The Four Loves
It was so great to see her! (Cecilia is in the car seat behind us.) Dawn was so sweet to indulge me and drive into Boston. Even though we've both had years of driving experience, in Los Angeles, Boston is a whole other driving experience, and can be confusing and even a little terrifying!
We made it, and it was so worth it. I hadn't been to Faneuil Hall for 15 years or so!

The guy sitting with his back to me, in the the above photo, was playing plastic buckets, for drums, and these boys, below, were having a ball dancing and throwing down their best moves!

We had a beer and food at Cheers ...
And then some window shopping ...
We headed back to Dawn's, in Millbury, and talked for another couple of hours before passing out!
Dawn's place! It is actually apartments and Dawn has the top floor. It's so cute and charming, with it's slanted ceilings, wood floors and wainscoting everywhere!
That is Bruschi, her Boston terrier, on the bed. :)
This next shot, is looking to the property next door. When I saw these trees, I got so excited to cruise around and take pictures! I know, this is shocking information.
I'm going out of chronological order here, but I just had to keep going, to show you some more New England charm! This town, is close to Millbury, and we went over there for Cecilia and Dawn's Mommy and Me style music lesson. (Very cute, by the way.)
After the class, I ran around Grafton and took some pictures!
The red building on the left is where their class was.
Across from the building, is what must be, the old town center. So cute!
Around the corner, were these beautiful and charming (there's that word again!) homes.
I love the architecture. And, of course, the beautiful, vibrant trees!
