Feast Day of Saint Francis

Today is the Feast Day of Saint Francis, when children around the country bring their animals to church for prayers and blessings. (Francis is the patron saint of animals, ecology and environment.)

"Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one's soul remains unawakened."

~ Anatole France
