Inspiring Little Women

I substitute teach art classes at a great little art school in L.A. called The Wizard of Art. It's a family run business and they have welcomed me in with open arms. I am just blessed all over the place! Anyway, their daughter Malaika, who is an amazing artist, teaches that figure drawing class I always go on and on about.

What I haven't talked about, are the amazing kids who take classes at the school.

Here are just a few.

Owl by Zola
age 13

Iris by Katie
Age 12

Mountains of China
Maggie
Age 13

Peacock by Nina
Age 8

I am trying to get Nina to do a trade so I can have the peacock! Amazing right?
I love these girls. Awesome personalities, funny, creative and just good people. These are just a few of many.
I am forever inspired and seeing things in a new way.

is a sphere of activity in which
we are permitted to remain children all our lives."

Holy Smokes! Those girls are on their way to great things! I love the name of the art school and the fact that they have mentors such as artists like you...I'm sure you inspire each other quite a bit. I will formerly thank you on my blog for my 'award', but just a little note to say "cheers" from one Irish lass to another.

if I ever feel discouraged I just try to hang out with some youngsters. They always put me back on track. I'm glad you are teaching (and learning)! What a good place to be in.

Lucinda I´m stunned.
Uau, some of these works are really impressive not only from the lines and colours but also by their depth.
I would never say that these were paintings done by children.
Thank you for sharing and God bless you all.
