New Work

This piece is another in my series of new works. As I have said before, it has to do with the meanings of being a woman, what makes a woman and what lies beneath the surface. If it is not our female organs, what then do we imagine there in our symbolic places of creativity?

One is not born,

but rather becomes,

a woman.

Thanks so much! '

Yeah, I went to school for illustration at RISD and then got my masters in art teaching (which I also LOVE)...and in the last two years haven't done much of my own work but thanks to my sister giving me big deadlines and commissions I'm feeling back in the game!!!

Your artwork also is inspiring me a lot :)
Hope xoxo

C, it´s always wonderful to watch new expressions of art.
I like to experiment so much that i often challenge other painters with new ideas.
Really, there are millions if not infinite possibilities for new ideas in Art.
Thank you for the visit, i´m happy that you like Fado songs.

Lucinda, this is so powerful and touching to me since I was one of many women unable to have children. I so can feel the emotions in these series. Very beautiful! xo

Fantastic! I've always believed that we are much more than our organs or the fact that we've given birth...Although hard to describe but something to do with the way we are wired, the necessity to survive and the urge to create. This to me is a type of birth as well.

Very beautiful! I also like the idea of our 'nesting' -- on so many different levels.
